The money part is good reasoning. The heat part, well man up I guess.... not sure what to say about that.

If you think it's bad now wait until you have the car in the 9's and have to sit in a fire suit. Been there on 110 degree days, and will be there again.

I don't really buy into that whole heat soak thing. How long is that incoming air in that intake? Really, so what if the thing is hot?

Leather interior and no AC in a black car-that's a heat soak.

JL,
Its not a matter of manning up, two weekends ago I had no problem running around in the heat with a long sleeve shirt, long pants, boots, chest rig full of AR magazines, a drop leg with a pistol and a 9lbs rifle all day long...

As far as racing in the heat, like I said, not a matter of "manning up" I just don't enjoy being hot, if I don't enjoy it, why do it?

Mark, it showed itself on the dyno. Julio pulled the car with Vic Jr back to back and lost around 20HP. Pulled the FAST 102 back to bad and the car picked up 1HP lol

I don't enjoy racing in the heat either and have avoided it many times.

Racing is racing..... guy in the other lane is suffering as much as you are, both with heat and the performance drop off from the weather.

If you're more into chasing a #, then I can understand the waiting for cooler weather. But if you're into racing for the thrill of competition, weather won't stop you.

I'm not very competitive either, weather stops me all the time.
If it's hot out like it is now I'd rather be in my pool with a Corona than be at the track anyday.
The "thrill" of sweating my ***** off in a firesuit just doesn't appeal to me one bit.

I had a vic jr on my car and i lost alot of tq down low and 10 peak total. The fast intake is better for a street car. I went faster on the fast intake.
