Default Weakest link?

I'm planning on starting to race my car at the local track soon and am trying to make sure my setup is ready.

So my setup is currently:

MWC 9" with 31 spline axles and their clutch type posi
PST drive shaft
All tubular rear suspension
Strano adjustable rear sway bar
stock t56 with a good amount of miles on it
monster stage 3 with new slave and tick master.

I'll be running a bias ply slick of some sort (and launching hard to take advantage of that) and i'm wondering what's going to be the first thing to go. I'm assuming something inside the stock tranny? Motor is currently mostly stock but will eventually be around 450 rwhp. With stock power am i good to go to run this thing at the track? Once i up the power to my final goal will the transmission go?

I know i still need shocks all around, but haven't decided which ones yet. Probably some other stuff I'm forgetting but think I'm getting close to being track ready.

Thanks!

What rear gears are you running? First thing to go will be the pst slip yoke unless you got a good strange / moser / mark williams one on there. It won't break but it will twist and screw up your launches. I've been launching 550+ rwhp @ 5500 + rpm on my transmission for a bit now and so far so good, but I do have billet keys and a steel 3-4 shift fork.

I would also say the yoke or the posi unit. But probly be just fine if you dont dump the clutch off the line. A quick release of the clutch works better and will be slightly easier on parts.

4.11 gears and I have the upgraded non CAM yoke from PST (forged I believe). On stock power though should I be worried about anything?

You're probably more right than not....lol, practice will hopefully fix that though.

Racing with a 6 speed is risky and expensive and you can break stuff at anytime. It will certainly show weak links quickly. Also yes u need to add some shocks.
