18-19psi in the 555r's... get a nice long burnout with them (they need heat).. launch around 2200-2400, slip the clutch.

The main thing is to get out there and shake off the nerves. Watch other drivers for drag racing etiqute and try to do the same.

Make sure your T-tops are on, Windows up, Helmet on, Seat belt locked in and A/C turned off when you first get there and do not turn back on until you leave.

Work on launching but word to the wise, Nitto's will not make much of a difference. If your bogging then your doing fine but don't try to hammer it off the line. I don't see line lock so thats the next thing you should have as it helps with burnouts.

Just remember to have fun and write down all your data on the timeslip.

Be more worried about your shifts then your launch. I wouldn't use the 555r's unless you have money to spend on a 9".

With that being said take your time off the line. Dont go right at green unless you absolutely ready to go. Dont rush yourself

I would start your first pass launching around 3000 with a quick slip and go up from there as necessary. You'll most likely bog at that RPM without slipping it too much. Those tires can pull 1.7's with a good launch, but you WILL be slipping the hell out of your clutch to do it. You'll also probably need a bit more power for that, although the suspension setup is there. 1.8's shouldn't be a problem. I was getting 1.7's out of those same tires with a far inferior suspension setup and about 385/365 to the rear wheels, so I know they can do it with a bit more power than what you're bringing. Your better suspension should help make up for some of that power you're down, though. They were 275/40/17 Nitto 555R's. What size are you running?

Good luck and post up some results!

I'll make sure to pay attention to track etiquette, i read about that a little already (go around the water and back into it, driver on exit side has right of way,pre-staging and staging...ect)

Im pretty sure im gonna use the nittos just because my street tires have like 30% and get loose all the time, ill ease into the launch so im not having a 2 second run with my rear end gone.

Im going to be using 275/40/17 nitto 555r's and ill check the pressure. the guys im going with have went before so they'll help.
Another buddy is running his T/A bolt-on's 224 cam 4.10s with 275/40/17 Mickey Thompson ET street radials.
