Help...running SLOWER after engine rebuild?? I have an lq9 6.0 iron block with bolt-ons, l92 heads, and a decent cam. Last year I ran a best of 12.2 at 114mph even with 2 bent valves, 2 dented pistons and oil/gas all through the motor.
So I ended up just getting the whole engine torn apart. I bored it .020, put in all new pistons, new valves, new clutch assembly, and ported and polished the heads...
This year at the track, the best I could muster up was a 13.0! I replaced the stock injectors and those at least put me in the mid 12's at 111mph, but the car still doesn't feel as strong as it did last year.
I'm stumped and am beginning to become frustrated....and input would be greatly appreciated.
