Default MSD 8733 2-step problem

I just got an msd 8733 2-step from a member on here and i wired it up and tested it out in my driveway at 3200 and 4200 rpm. Everything seemed to work just fine at that point. About 20 min later i decided to take the car for a drive and it felt like the car was misfiring on a cylinder or maybe 2. I checked the light on the 2-step and it was off. So i unplugged the msd wiring from the coils and then the car was just fine. Anybody else hear of a problem like this with this 2-step or have any suggestions?

Need to try moving where you have the box mounted and how you have the wires run. They acn get interfience from plug wire and other things that will cause these issues

Well i have the wiring run directly back to the firewall from the coil harnesses then the box is mounted in the car so i wouldnt think there should be any problems there. But i may try moving it around some just to rule it out.

You must have the wrong wire hooked up. IE the ground or positive activation wire and it it turning on due to this.

We have pretty much decided that the box must be defective. I even tried disconnecting the signal wire all together and the problem still occurred, so the box or its wiring is the only thing left in the picture. So the seller was more than willing to give me a refund.
