Exclamation Front splitter/airdam question.

If the car was set up like this, what are the advantages or disadvantages?

-Note that there is air going through the stock front valance (Blue lines).
-Notice also that I have added a front wind splitter (gray line directly below the valance) The air can now be directed below the car away from the sump.

Should I cover up the valance's inlets so it can benefit the front splitter? Or is the valance fine the way it is? I obviously aim to have this front splitter become functional. I just don't want to do more harm than good when I add a front splitter. Pro's, I'd gladly appreciate if you guys would chime in and help a fellow to-be-engineer out.

Cheers,

Jamezzy

Thanks for replying. Hmm, the title is misleading lol. Sorry about that, I'm talking about the front splitter. No airdams here. I've no idea why I typed that in.

Did you do anything to the underside to help with the airflow?

as far as i know, no one has tried making a belly pan for the underside aero

also taping the holes in the front bumper will suffice

We added one on our car as seen here

It helped in cutting the air up front and keeping the front end down on the big end

Super old thread bump. Has anyone above or anyone else had any positive gains in the 1/4 from blocking or redirecting air? Looking for any advantage at this point

I'm about to redo the entire front aero on mine.
