15" wheel question! HELP!

hey guys. posting this up for my parts manager where I work...

Hes got an 01 Z28 ...just installed a Strange Engineering S60 rearend...looking to purchase a set of 15" drag wheels and wasnt sure on proper backspacing / offset...i have used the search tool and didnt have much luck, but dont have a ton of time here at work.

Any insight as to what is needed and/or where to purchase?

The S-60 factory width.If so and if he goes with a 15x8 he will need 5.5"BS and If he goes with a 15x10 he will need to get a 7.5"BS..

This is correct. If he is planning on using the stock brakes he will need to do a whole lot of grinding to get the wheels to clear. Like this: https://ls1tech.com/forums/drag-raci...ers-101-a.html

Or he can buy a Rim sized properly which can get expensive such as a Bogart or Billet Specialties.

Depends on if there will be street driving and how much.

You can also use the centerline convos with no grinding needed. I run a 15x4 up front and a 15x7.5 out back with 5" backspacing. They hold the 275/60 mt drag radials nicely.

Yea I have a 15 x 8.5 with a 5" and it sticks out a little as these I think were originally intended for a narrowed rear car. Convos are a good rim for street use and I love the look. thats why I got them. Just wished I did more research on Back Spacing.
