Default Trans brake with 2 step, quick question

Hey guys like the title says my stall speed is rated at 4k but it's flashing 5400. the two step was set at 4k on the brake and it's been hell on shocking the tires. How much lower are you all setting your two step from the flash of the converter when on the brake?

So far 3600 has worked best but it was still bogging, I tried to throw more rpm at it but it seemed to hit a brick wall & refused to rev any higher. Got back home thinking the converter may have been too tight or something but it ended up being 2* too low on the timing coming up on boost.

So what's your "rated stall" and what's the converter flash?

I dont have an "off the shelf " converter, its a custom converter setup for my weight, gear, tire, cam, trans, & turbo/AR size. I can drive it on the street and its "tight" but when it sees boost it turns into "Mr. Hyde" as Lenny says and is a whole other animal. You get what you pay for I promise, ask everyone on "the bullet".

I'm aware I'm probably going to need another converter, the one in my car is an art.
What does your converter flash? Thats what I'm trying to nail down is how much lower to set the 2step rpm than converter flash.

I wouldn't mind discussing your situation in detail. I tune big cubed, big tire nitrous cars weekly. I have crewed my share of Outlaw 10.5 cars that make well over 3k H/P. I help guys make the very decision you are up against damn near daily.

I don't build converters, but have working relationships with the best of the best. If you would like solid advice, holler at me tomorrow or Monday and I'll shoot you straight. There is much more to it than flash vs. rated stall speeds and it would take forever to spell it out in an internet forum discussion.
