Project Golden Glider..
Hey guys, for the past month I have been debating selling my car, or keeping it due to the fact that I'm going to "tear it up" doing the mods I want to do everyone is telling me to keep the car because well its nice, and not to many Sport Gold Metallic Formula's out there.. but at the same time I hear not to "cut" into it... well I think I have decided to keep it and make it how I want and pass it to my son some day....
Little info on the car.
1998 Firebird Formula WS6 85k, Original T56 Car I am the 3rd Owner. very well taken care of very clean inside and out..
Current mods.
Full Manual 4L60E TCI 3500+ Nitrous Converter, 10 Bolt 3.42 Gear Moser Cover,
Pacesetter Longtubes, Custom Y pipe, 3.5"cut out
Nitrous Outlet Brand X nitrous kit, NX digital Window Switch, ect...
Drag Radials and a Tune...
Winter Mods
Ported Heads.
MS3-4 Cam.
Victor Jr Carb Conversion "maybe"
Fuel Cell
Direct Port Nitrous,
Mini Tub,
Weld Wheels-Slicks
Tons of Weight Loss
4.10's ??
Goals
Next Spring I would like to see low 10's on stock shortblock, want to get the car as fast as possible, and still keep a few luxuries on the car while doing it. Would like to enter a show or two, and take it out on the weekends, and still hit the track.. we will see what happens...

I cut mine up, not sure how rare yours is but mine is one of 26 Bright Purple Metallic Formulas and 1 of 3 hardtop 6 speeds.
Not trying to talk you out of them or anything but really why mini tub and Vic Jr? Unless you are running a big cam and full race setup the Vic Jr will likely make less power than a FAST plus you need to cut your cowl and get a different hood. And unless you are planning to run a 30" rear tire why cut up the car and go through the hassle of mini tubbing. I only ask because ive done both and wouldnt do them unless I had to.

well the reason I want to do that stuff now, I have a block, and the start of a 9" rear so I want to get the car used to being partial drag, and next summer build the 408 and put in the 9". Kind of want to see how far I can take the stock stuff before I totally rip the car apart...
My car is 1 of 7
I would like to run a 315/60/15 tucked in... so probably have to mini tub it..

Another reason I have thought of going carb... well im sick of buying high dollar efi stuff... Whats the price of a fast intake? nothing is set in stone yet just want to do different than I have in the last 10 car builds.. seems like everyone does the same exact mods like you have to follow some kind of book haha

Heck I have a super clean 2000 SS, nothing of a so called rare car, but it was just to nice of a car to cut up and gut, so I bought a roller and went from there. So glad I did.
If you go Carb intake, and plan on building a 408, I would most deff have something spec'd as far as camshaft wise. Look into doing a 408, L92's, custom cam, Vic Jr L92 intake and a 4150 TB. If built Right it can be a screamer, miss the right camshaft combo and it will be a turd. I work with BES Racing Engines on all my engines. check them out.

Congrats on the sale, that was a nice one. Make sure to start a new thread when you start your drag build. Not sure if you already have another car in the works, but a hardtop car would save you some weight from the get-go. Thats what I had in mind until this car fell into my lap.
