Hi everyone.
Months ago, I noticed that there weren't any phone/tablet apps for drag racing aside from games.
So, being a drag racer, and a computer programmer, I made a free Android app. I just finished version 1.0 today and released it to the market 1 hour ago. I call it "Drag Racing Workbench"
So far, it has hundreds of U.S. drag strips information (phone, address, web site, track type, nhra or ihra, etc), calculates live density altitude for the track, gets the weather for the track, etc. Also, there's a bunch of calculators for getting horsepower or cfm or a bunch of other values.
Depending on the response the app gets, I may at a later time, be adding things like news from the various organizations, a small reaction time mini-game, the ability to record your times/weather/etc.
I'm looking for feedback, good or bad, on the app. Am I missing a track? Let me know! Does a formula in the calculator section not work? Yell at me! Got a cool idea for me to improve it? Let me know.
Again, the app is free in the Android market.
If you don't have Android, you can view screenshots here: https://market.android.com/details?i...acingworkbench
For iPhone users: Yes, I also program iPhone apps for my 9-5 job and considered making an iPhone version. But iTunes makes developers pay $100/year. So if I did make a version, I'd have to charge, or figure a way to recoup the $$.
Thanks!
