set up/track questisons
My build is a 2000 camaro ss/slp
9.5:1 comp 402, TU2 cam ( 236/236, .587 .587, 112.5 LSA, stock L92 heads, L92 edelbrock single plane, elbow, 80lb mototron injectors, GT88 1.08 A/R T6 flanged, 2.5" turbo kit, truck manifolds, Moser 9, 3.25 gear, trutrac, 4l80e, transgo hd2
I'm just trying to figure out the best way to run this at the track, I have a few questions about my set up
1) I will be foot braking it does anyone have any proven set ups i plan on running a set of burkhart rear drag brakes. Will that even matter? or should i just run my stockers with an upgraded rotor/pad set up
2) I plan on running jakes 4l80e stall, its the best priced one i could find plus i figured that jake builds a damn good 4l80e from what ive been told so i figured they must know there stalls
3) I was told with foot braking i need a good spring/shock set up, with my budget i will be running stange single adjustable up front with QA1 275lbs springs & Comp engineering 3 way adjustable out back with stock springs.
if anyone can give me any pointers if im on the right track, my goals for the car are 850+ rwhp 700+lbs and a 1.5x 60ft 9.9x 1/4 passes...
If you are foot braking it I would use the Strange dual rear caliper brakes so you can build boost. I also think you are going to need a better adjustable rear shock on the rear.
