Et Street Longivity??????

Et Street Longivity?????? I have a set of ET streets 26X11.5X16. They are bareley worn to bars on the outside look ok on the inside bars. How far past the wear bar is it safe to run them? How many passes do you guys usualy get out of a new set? Thanks for the help in advance. 
on teh street, i have seen guys get as many as 5K miles out of ET Streets. they didnt hammer them at the track much though. i would go to the wear indicators. no sense in a potential safety issue for something as silly as tires. i have seen some guys go to the cord showing. that is insane.
