Last night the weather was in the mid to low 60's, I have no idea what the DA was last night. I had 1/2 tank of gas, runs 2 & 3 were uncapped, #1 was through the muffler. I have Nitto drag radials P245/50-16's on firebird rims @ 18 psi. Mods are in sig, car has approx. 50K miles. I had a few people tell me I needed to drop the tire pressure to 14 psi, but that seems too low to me. The contact patch on the tires looks dead nuts on. I blame some of my traction problems on lack of track prep, but I still cannot belive that my underpowered car w/ the weak 2.73's has enough suds to blow off the Nittos like it did last night.
Does anyone have any input on tire pressure with these tires? Or any thoughts on the ET & MPH from last night? I honestly feel the car is capable of high 1.9 sixty foot times, but hasn't been able to do it since it was stock.
I definately don't get to the track as often as I'd like to, so no doubt I could improve a little on my driving.
