Default battery cut off switch wiring...

What gauge wire should be used to run from the alternator to my switch in the rear? I all ready have 1 gauge welding cable for my power from the battery in the back. and used some 1 gauge for the grounds also. just need to figure out how to wire so the alternator will not cause the car to keep running.

Does your car have a switch panel? If so, I would run the ignition wire to the switched side of your cutoff switch to kill the car. I might be wrong but I wouldn't think cutting power to the alternator is gonna kill the car like u think

I ran 4 gauge for mine and it charges fine. You need to run the alternator charge wire either directly to the battery or to the battery side of the cutoff switch.
