The slide style is really the only right way to do it, everything else is a band aid for the slide setup.

Wow... that's a pretty bold statement.

I guess BMR, UMI, and MWC must just have alot of band-aids out there then.

There are a few tq arms that are built with the slide setup, not just Madman's.

Remember, you put the names to that statement... not me.

I got the chance to call and talk to Madman himself today while ordering some of his travel limiters for the front suspension on my 4th gen. Great guy to talk to and deal with.

He listens. He isn't one of those guys that will let you talk for 3-4 seconds and then interrupt you. He lets you finish and tell you what it's doing.

Thanks for the advice and help today Brian, I will be calling you when the trans goes back in and can get a ride height measurement for you.

Agreed 100% the stock clamshell allows for front/back movement just like the driveshaft does a solid mounted setup causes the rear to jerk slightly as it has little to know room for movement.

UMI and others do have some back and forth movement to them, unless I'm seeing it wrong.

It may not be as much or move as freely as Madman's setup, but how much movement are we talking about here?

It's not that others don't have the fore/aft movement. it's how the power is transferred to the chassis with a solid rod ended slider, and the ability to change suspension geometry with a fixed point instead of a shifting point.
