Help me 60 better
I've got a M6, MWC 9" with the long arm. Tires are 26 10.5 16 ET streets. Best 60 is a 1.75 at Bristol dragway. I went to around 14 psi, my Torque arm is in the 2nd hole down, pinion angle set at -2 I believe. LCAs are in the 2nd hole up. My set up was stock shocks and springs in the front and bilsteins in the rear. Now I'll be running 1 coil cut stock springs and Bilsteins all the way around (probably hurt more than helped) I'm also running 4.10s and it makes 452rwhp. How can I get down in the 1.5 range?

+1 on the vids! cutting the coils probably didn't help, go to a good adj. coilover drag setup on the front and loose the swaybar. On the rear try lowering the lca's to bottom hole now that you cut your springs, if this doesn't help try stock springs again. If car is hooking good raise psi in rear tires slightly, tire wrap will slow 60'
I'm using qa1s up front w/no swaybar and bmr 1" lowering springs w/stock shocks in the rear. Lca's are 1 hole up and ta is a spohn chassis mount. Car 60's upper 1.5s w/275/50-15 MT drs. Hope this helps, I'll be following your posts! Larry.

The spring/shock combo isn't gonna do any favors for you, and that is the place to start. You can do a set of Strange or Afco shocks and still maintain a good street ride as well as performance at the track. You will also gain adjustable ride height in the front and the option of adjustable ride height in the rear.

i was in same boat as you til now, im at 800rwhp and im going with afco dbl adj. stock spring in rear, no front sway bar and when i get more money im doing afco coilover in front. like all have said rear shocks are a must you can take off the front sway bar to help transfer the weight if your on a budget atleast get strange dbl adj ordo it once and get afco's

Damn!! 800rwhp w/pro charger, now that takes serious susp. and tires to get hooked up!!!! I'm in the minor league compared to that....I forgot to mention I'm an a4 w/4500 vig. conv., I still have stock shocks in the rear but do have drag bags in both springs. I run 2psi in left and 6-8 in the right and foot-brake it to launch. I know M6 cars are hard to launch, a friend has the same problems you're having, remember: Test and Tune is a good thing!!! So make some adjustments and post the results! Larry.

well i was making maybe 360rwhp before my new swap im trying the hoosier 17317's but its now getting the afco set up for rear only staying with stock spring/bilstein up front for now, gotta let the wallet cool down haha. but get some strange da's in the rear and atleast sa for the front. that will help you dial it in at the track.

I'm sure you could get in the 1.5 with nothing more than some strange SA's up front and pulling the front sway if you haven't. Anything you do to remove weight will help. If you're an M6, ET Drag stiffwalls are amazing!
