Slicks?

Slicks? I have a 99 z28 conv. and had wanted to throw some drag slicks and racing rims on the rear. i'm just starting to mod. the car, just cai, lid, cat-back so far, but wanted to research what people recommend going with. i'm open to ideas right now, so i was wondering size, manufactuers, full out slick/ DR?, rims, etc. that would work the best on a stock rearend, stock suspension. any opinions would help me out greatly. Thanks.

Do you have a M6 or a A4?
The only heads up I would give you is if you run ET Drags or even ET Streets there is a chance you could damage/break your stock rear end. Even a bone stock car could hook hard enough to brake some teeth off the ring gear. You want to go with a set of Drag Radials to start with or until you get a stronger rear end (12 bolt)
FYI: when I started to add power mods to my car I broke the rear end 3 times with drag radials before I upgraded to a Moser 12 bolt.

Don't forget the ARP 12mm X 1.5 knurl extended studs. Do not race on street slicks, or drag slicks without a set of those bad boys. I would even recommend them for drag radials as cheap insurance. Especially if you go with a Weld wheel.
