I recently put a 10 point cage in my car. I am planning on doing heads and cam in the near future so I knew It would need a six point but I didn't want to have to rip the interior out twice so I just put a full cage in while I was there. My question is if the cage is there does it have To be certified or not until it hits 9.99. Right now it's only bolt ons running probably low 12s high 11s

Not that I'm aware of...but belts and other items that expire will still need to be kept up to date.
I would still ask my local track since their rules vary so much.

A roll bar is required at 11.49, but doesn't have to be certified. At 9.99 a full cage is required, and has to be certified once you reach that ET. It is up to the tech at the track you are at to look at the cage/bar if you are 10.00 or slower. There are other stipulations as well besides the chassis once you reach 9.99 and are required to use at that point like a competition liscense, more/higher grade safety equipment, etc.
