First time at the Track!!! First time at the track with the car, (been in the truck). Didn't know how to launch etc, etc. Denton 1/8th BTW First run I had the TC on (forgot). Still need to practice dustin the tires off etc. Left 'em at 32lbs or so, Goodyear Eagle HP 245/50 16s.
In order
RT 60 ET MPH Launch
0.9768......2.4629.....9.7077....77.80......1800 (shifting ~ 5400)
0.6978......2.4110.....9.3174....79.84......1800 (still early shift)
1.0299......2.7275.....11.746....46.59......2000 (spun like hell and couldnt get it back)
0.7389......2.5083.....9.3559....80.36......~1800 (shiftin 6kish)
1.1233......2.2879.....9.0929....80.50......1800 (shifting 6kish)
Any advice is appreciated. This was a complete blast from the truck that was a 10.0 on the 20s and no headers. I know I need to work on the launch technique, and shifting at the right rpm, my shifts seem pretty quick however. Is this pretty decent for a first time considering I've only tried to launch the car on the street from a dig once and only been driving a 6sp since last Tuesday night?
All and all I'm all smiles and had a complete blast.

Get your car dynoed. Then you will know where peak HP is and where to shift. The 2.2 60' is pretty good for the factory tires. Lower your air pressure down to 25psi that should help your launch. As always practice make perfect.

Thanks, I'm kinda worried about some drag radials... Don't really have the money to put a 12bolt in it after a few launches... Or do you think for just a few mods It would hold?
