First time at the track

First time at the track I finally got to take my 2001 TA WS6 to the track and see what I could do in the 1/4. I had read the posts and tried to be mentally prepared. I was a little worried because my tires are down to the bands that tell you it is time for new tires. When I was in line I was slotted with a new Z06 with all the mods and the guy was hoping to run 10's. Then there is me hoping not to look like a complete idiot.
Anyhow, I drove up to the tree and at the water (I have read with my car and tires to avoid it) I went right thru the water. ****.
I then spun my tires. Lined up and then at the last yellow, as it went off, I hit the gas (I was at 1500 to 1800 rev with an A4). I spun a little and just kept it floored until I passed the 'Finish' sign.
Well, I know I will do better next time. I have to work on the 60 ft.

good run i had my first outing at the track last night went up against a 99 stock cobra it was the first time ever at the track. i ran 2.092 60ft reaction was.554 1/4 was13.528 @ 101.85 mph plus beat the cobra by 2 carlengths. it felt pretty good for being the first time at the track. had lots of fun.
