I was looking at a space saver spare from a jeep grand chorokee today. The tire says nothing about a speed limit and has a resonable load capacity. Has anyone tried running them as a front runner at the track?
They are bias and just the right size for my front wheels.

I would suspect most that run skinny front runners would use the proper tires than to skimp on cheap alternatives. Most space savers are rated around 55mph for around 50 miles. By no means are they safe for 100+ mph runs. If you are willing to take that risk, please make sure you are the only one on the track for those runs.

They are limited use and and "speed rated" for heat. Not for the integrity. I do tires profesionaly and I can't tell you how many times people have ran there spare for months. My parents drove 3 hours each was on there space saver spare because the tire they needed wasn't in stock for 3 days and it was a sunday when they got a flat.
Integrity is not an issue at all. The only question and concern is if the track will let you run.
Not to mention few if any of the tires are rated for the claimed speed or distance. The restricstion are plastered on the wheel.
