Default Bracket results for this weekend

Thought I would start a thread for this weekends bracket results for those who like to post. I ran regular points bracket race at No problem yesterday had a good outing. I went 7 rounds to the final and lost with a 11.999 on a 12.00. My opponent had me on the light by a little and got there first by .003. It was a close race. We do have buybacks and I had to buyback I lost a close first round race my .007 light to his .012 with him running closer. The footbrakers at my track are really getting good but that just makes the races more fun. Frank95z

Sweet Frank. Seven rounds is way cool.

How are ya doing in the track points?

I went to Lone Star Raceway Saturday to race in our 2nd points race of the year(rain has keep us from racing since Feb. 28th). I also lost in the 1st round. I cut the worst light of the year .625 to his .532. I SUCKED!!!!!!!!!!!

We have buy backs also. In the 2nd round I drilled the guy on the tree. My .525 to his .644. I caught the other guy so fast I just let off the gas and ran a 7.28 on a 7.22.

3rd I draw a very good racer and a good friend Pual Smith. I got him on the tree. my .525 to his .545 but I broke out with a 7.172 on a 7.18. He ran a dead on 6.846 on a 6.84. The car went towards the wall a little bit. just enough to may me think she couldn't break out. Oh well thats drag racing. Then the rains hit. They had to call the rest of the race. They split the money. I don't know about the points yet. There were not very many cars. The weather scard everyone away. I don't think I lost to many points.

My Hot Rod was not running normal 60 foots. I ran 1.57 to 1.55's yesterday. The reason for this is we figured up how many runs we have on this set of slicks. 147 runs

The new 30x9x15 with a 98 inch roll out go on Monday.

Good job Frank!

I broke out in the finals also. Ran 7.1277 hitting the breaks on a 7.13 dial. His light was .0045 better than mine and he ran dead on dial. Finish margin .0018.

The good news is I took out the 1st place guy(last years track champ in 2 classes) in the 3rd round. I think I'm still 25 points behind him. The bad news is the guy that beat me is in 3rd place, only 5 points behind me.

Thanks Coach,You are doing well this year also. We are 8 races into our 15 race season because we start points in October for this year. I ran non E for a couple of races and now I'm in Street. I think I'm 5th but no more than 5 or 6 rounds out of 1st. I've won a couple of track championships and found its better to finish strong and take the lead late than try to hold the points lead all year long. There is a lot of real good racers at my track and I'm glad just to be a player. DMcracer You are doing well also keep up the good work. I ran our last year champ this weekend also I had a little better light and got there first by .003 with us both breaking out with me breaking out the least. Good Luck all Frank95z

I'm starting to think about parking the Nova for the Formula this year. 6 straight losses, 5 on red lights, 4 of them in the 1st round. I went late green on purpose this past Saturday in 1st round (.107) b/c I keep cutting the damn close red lights and can't seem to find a happy spot with my new combo. Last 3 red light 1st round losses are -.006, -.002, -.008. I'm heading out on wednesday for some tnt'ing and hopefully I'll get my act together!

Maybe I'll report back better results next weekend!

Good job by everyone that made it happen!

Oh coach, I know you'll like this one! My buddy has a 72 nova that runs low 11s with a full interior (bench seat as well), and he is a good racer, so he's running super pro this year for points, on the FOOTBRAKE! Took out 6 guys with a worst light of 033 and in the finals ran a 11.108 on 11.10 with a .015 light against an 8 second door car going 152 mph against his 119 mph car and hit the brakes to close up the stripe to .021. Took out a dragster the round before on the brakes as well (his .011 11.112/11.11 to her .035 and 7.84/7.82).

Hey Derek,

Tell your dad congrats on winning Super Pro points night

I was racing Pro with a cast on my left arm (had surgery the morning before ) and went 6 rounds to the semi's. We both broke out by .01 in semi's but I lost to RT. I was late with a .580 to my opponents .550. That was the first time all season my car has broke out, damn car picked up .02 ET and almost 1 MPH down track out of nowhere.

Right now I'm 4th in over all points. I saw your dad moved up the ladder after this win

Derek,
Hang in there buddy. You will get your lights back.

SWEET! I love it when a footbrake car takes out the Top Et guys. I love when a door car takes out those snakes.

Lee,
Great job driving with the bad left arm. I also cut my worst light of the year in the 1st round. A .625 will not go very far. Plus, I brokw out also in the 3rd round. 4th in points is pretty good right now at this point in the season.

congrats on making rounds again Lee!

Yeah my dad was very happy with his win, considering it was the first since 1998! It's hard winning consistently against those skinny cars down there. I may be visiting next weekend and running the Formula, as I have a truck to pick-up that weekend and figured, "why not race while I'm there?"
