Default COPO Camaro #15 Pics!!!

Hey guys, I had the opportunity this weekend to shoot COPO Camaro #15. Though this is one of 32 painted white, it is also one of only 20 built with the 327/4.0L Whipple combo. This thing sounds MEAN, and I cant wait to see it go down the track. Lucky for me he is local, so I should have more than a few opportunity to shoot this car again on and off the track. The owner was very patient and accommodating, and I cant thank him enough for letting me shoot this rare car.

If you haven't already, be sure to check out my Facebook page and give it a LIKE while you are there!

Enough talking, on to the pics!!

Let me know what you all think! I have a couple more that I still need to edit, I will add them here when I get them done.

Thanks for looking!

I like a lot of things about the car, a lot lighter than a normal 5th gen, SRA & appears to have a FORD 9 inch? Good but strange that it would come from GM with that. I been told you can't put plates on it cuz it doesn't have a vin #. They're trying to recreate the old COPO days but its not even close. I know its got a cage but if it can't be driven on the street who cares? It's about the same as buying a Dragpak Challenger.

Yes its a Ford 9" with a 4 Link (and panhard bar). There is also no VIN, I took a picture of the plate that is there which I will add later. It says something like 2012COPO015 I think. It is a very cool car, and is very nice, but somethings about it are not they way I would do it. Its no slouch for sure, but odd motor set up IMO. It is very much a factory built race car, that is the best way to describe it. It is built like a factory car in a lot of ways which is cool to see. Just a very interesting car all around, I am glad I was able to shoot it and be around it. I hope I can get even more of it in the future!

The COPO was built to run Stock and Super Stock just like the Cobra Jet and Drag Pak. The original COPOs were built to take on the other muscle cars of the late 60's in those same classes.

As I was way too young for the first time around I have to say that I am very happy that my friends at GM were able to pull this off!

They only built two, one for the factory, and one to be auctioned off. I would imagine that the auctioned one wont get raced. I don't know if they plan on making them for 2013 though.

We like the Ford 9" and Ford guys like the Powerglide. COPO runs the 9" and Ford's Cobra Jet has a "C-2" 2-speed trans option.

Thanks!
Just to be technical, its a Strange S9 rear end, not technically a "ford" part. I know its just semantics, but still
