My problem is that I can't get the car to 60' for ****, be it at the track, on the street, anywhere. With suspension only on the Mickeys, the car went 13.2 @ 106mph with a 2.05 60' leaving at 1500rpm. After the converter and headers I tried everything, leaving off idle, 1k, 2500, 3500, and only managed to muster a 12.8 @ 108 (lifting 2/3 to get it to shift, the trans gets temperamental when warmed up) with a best 60 of 1.95. Tires were at 15psi, and I gave them a decent burnout.
Could the rear drag shocks without matching fronts be hurting my times? The car doesn't feel like it's transferring weight as it should, but it could just be me. I have a set of relocation brackets that haven't gone in yet, any idea if I'd see much if any improvement? Would moving to a different tire be a better option?
I've gone from rolls with ~110mph trapping cars and been dead even, if not actually pulling, but the 60's just aren't there.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
Give us a call... We have all these parts are all on sale right now too!
At the track it felt like it was bogging, possibly could've been due tire pressure but I wonder if its weight transfer issues. Famoso is decently prepped, so maybe I might have been able to hook with 17-18psi, but the thing just wouldn't roll out. Wish I had more info, but I was only able to get 3 passes in at the last test and tune.
On our road (well prepped, 100s of passes from high horsepower cars, and countless amounts of VHT laid down) the car can't hook for anything, it actually hooked better up on the dusty section farther up which was really odd. As soon as the converter flashes it gets completely sideways.
