Default first time at the track with the tow vehicle tonight.

well since i have been feeling track deprived latley with the car out of comission, i decided to go run the truck before i put the chip in it. here is my times, no mods except removed fat paper filter.
rt= .192
60= 2.39
1/4=17.46@ 78.2
had a few like that. the truck is really consantly slow 17.47and 17.43
and my best over all
rt= .000 havent done that in a while
60= 2.33
1/4=17.41@78.6
i hate these damn ford unitraction rears. and still pulled 2.33 so no more complainig about not geting under that on our stock posi rears in the f-bodys.
if a 7,000 lb. truck can do it on one tire. you just need practice.
anyway. i wasnt to disapointed. bout what i expected.

yea yea yea yea, i know, give me about 6k extra cash an ill be happy to. the stock duramax in 01 didnt do any better from the ones i have seen so im not to bummed. ill be happy with a high 14 sec truck that weighs around 7000 lbs, and can pull most ricers faster than their motor will pull them.

a stock 01 duramax will run the same as a stock 03 duramax. easily run low 16s and "smash" a stock 7.3L - just look at the 300 hp and the wide rpm band compared to the original powerstroke. just fyi
