Do I need 4.30s? I've got a heads/cam stock bottom end M6 car with 4.10s. I'm going to be running a 27" Hoosier QTP. The details on the car is that I've made one pass with the motor 100 percent. It went 11.70 @ 122 with a 1.89 60ft. Before with a broken valvespring and vacumm leak the car always went 11.60s anywhere from 118 to 120 cutting a 1.75 60ft. Since then I've added all 4 Racestar wheels, a CHRS1313, full 4" intake tract, and dropped around 100lbs. The track I race at is 3k-5k feet. If I do pick up any mph from my weight and Ram Air I figure I'll be trapping somewhere around 124-125. Most people I've talked to say they've picked up 3ish mph just changing tracks well I do plan to run at some lower da tracks and I'm afraid going to the 4.30s will gear me to low. The calculator I use puts me hitting the limiter (6800) @ 127 with 4.30s. whats the odds at a good track I'll see that trap speed in good air? I just don't want to make the change and then regret it? I've all ready got the 4.30s here and I'm debating on whether to send them back, what do you guys think? Thanks
