Oil weight ???
Its a personal preference more than anything. For me, I like the heavier oil wieghts in my car, usually run a 20-50. Helps keep the oil pressure higher and I think it coats better.

OK...maybe I'll throw in some 30wt ?
I had the short block rebuilt due to unknown miles and a wiped cam bearing. It was to be a stock rebuild, new bearings and rings supplied by me, and a few other things done (hone,fly-cuts).
The builder used 20/50, and Now that the motor is "broke-in" I was unsure what these LS motors require when they're built up.
I know 5/30 is stock.....
