converter help!

converter help! so i have been talking with tons of people and im still getting mixed answers.
so my car hits rev limiter at the 1/8th mile, car runs 3500 stall 9" converter, 28" tires, 3.25 gears, single turbo.
so far my best 60' is 1.373, but im in 3rd gear before the 1/8th, then i have to lift throttle and feather it till the 1000ft then im just completely out of steam.
is the converter too loose? im calculating 13% converter slip.
9.85 @ 136 is my best 1/4 on and off the throttle, best 660' is 6.27 @ 112.
guys are telling me over on yellow bullet a single turbo car should be in thr 3300 to 3700 stall and about 4 to 5 % max converter slip . . . . should i get this thing tightened up? i have a set of 3.00 gears im going to slap in to see if that helps, but i feel the converter isnt right.
