I am building a L92 headed engine that will be used for 6.00 index racing. Engine will run a Ron's toilet on alcohol. Trying to decide if I want to go with the MSD 6012 box since I already have coils and looks cheaper or the timing cover conversion with a distributor. What are your thoughts on this?

If you already have the coils, I say use them with the box.

Having 8 individual coils also helps dwell time for the coils compared to running 1 coil. Plus, the box is programmable compared to the locked out timing of a distributor setup.
