lets talk wind versus DA. I've been racing for 5 years now and left my home track last night not just disappointed but perplexed. My car has always seemed run following DA very predictably. So a month ago in 2880 DA with about a 20mph tailwind I was trapping high 116's. Last night with about a 1700 DA but a light 5mph headwind I could not get out of low 114's, car felt great and no changes since last time out, is wind really that big of a help/hurt even with a 1000ft DA change?!?
Think of it like this. With a 20 mph headwind, going 115 your car pulls like it's going 95 (wind resistance wise). Now it's pulling like it's going 120, huge difference since air resistance increases with speed exponentially.
