Default MTI 427 Super Stroker !

A friend, who will remain nameless, took his recently built 427 to the track last week. The ETs were not impressive, but the car went 135 on grunt, and 143 on the ****. I got this from a VERY reliable source. The dyno #s are said to be 630rwhp. I was originally told over 650, but the actual is suppose to be 630. The mph backs up the #s. The car is a Zo6 with a rollbar and was on BFG drag radials. Im sure NineBall or some other MTI boys know which car I mean. Im pretty impressed!

As a matter of fact yes it is. Why the hell would it be posted everywhere? Unless someone was at the track that night they wouldnt know. The individual who owns it uses it for some late night racing and is not advertising it.

I heard slightly inflated numbers for the traps. Like 138 on motor and 146 on juice, with no traction and getting in and out of the throttle. I have also heard the car has destroyed a local kenne bell 03 cobra, and a big stroke(408) ZR1, on a small shot, during some rolling highway action. A selected few(including myself) have known the owner of the particular car for sometime.

Youre right Shoe, I heard the exact same thing. I later got the correct info from the guy that was with him at the track. Actually the owner of the car is a buddy of mine. I also heard about the race with the Kenne Bell cobra.The car is for real.

how about some treet...err.."closed course" racing footage? Not tage are identifying marks needed.

A 427 on nitrous putting down 630 RWHP is kinda nice (sounds like a 125 shot to me)...but not really impressive. It didn't do that NA at MTI.

...I only pointed that out because in the original thread it's not clear that the 630 RWHP is on nitrous.

Yea, at first i was going to have to wave the bs flag . 630RWHP on the gas is definately believable.

If some of you guys know some people at MTI, ask them what the ZO6 from Fl. they recently built and tuned the 427 for dynoed on motor.Maybe we can get a straight answer.

I'll be glad to ask him but there's really no need. Trust me, if Jayson made that kind of power NA with ANY other engine than mine (remember, it's a full out monster of a race only C5R), he'd **** a solid golden egg right there on the dynojet and would call me right after he woke up from passing out!

I just caught something.. 135mph on motor in a 427ci Z06? My buddy with a H/C nitrous Z06 running a 150 shot ran 135mph. Are you sure that was not on the spray?

The mphs I can vouch for. I have total confidence in the guy that was with him. The rwhp #s sounded high to me. They did tell me the car is not real streetable. BTW , the air on that night was pretty rotten. Around 80 degrees and humidity probably around 75% That track is 18 minutes from my house. Ill get to the bottom of it and let you all know!I dont know much about strokers as far as what rwhp is attainable.Ill trust the Colonels judgment until I can see hard proof!

I have heard the owner of the blue Z06 is really into street racing in Florida. He's got stickers of Viper kills on his passenger side window. I know what the car makes but will let the owner disclose the info., if he chooses to do so. It was impresssive to say the least, he could definitely use a set of slicks on that thing, instead of BFG drag radials it had on it @ MTI.

All I'm saying is that MTI has built only one Gen III engine capable of that kind of NA power.

135 MPH sounds right for a well setup NA 427ci Z06.
