Front mount battery and cut off question
If I understand the NHRA rule book correctly if running faster than 9.99 or 135mph you need a battery cut off even if running a front mounted battery?
If that's correct can someone explain what needs to be done? location of cut off? Trying to understand this rule and what racers are doing to follow it.
Thank You

you still have to have a switch that cuts all the power AND kills the running engine mounted in the rear right corner of the car. Easily marked someone walking up to the car and turn off fast. You just have the battery not in the trunk, and run the cables a extra time.
or you can use I think its called a moose, or mores cable. I soild push/pull cable off the lever on the back of the car, to the relay/switch mounted up near the battery.
The other style kits, like painless ones $150ish with the remote push/pull red button you can mount anywhere are not NHRA legal

Call me tomorrow. I can give you the dos and donts. Most of my cars are set up this way.
