Default Solid motor mount trouble?

Getting car together, this is a new set-up. I installed solid UMI motor mounts when I put my 6.0 in. I just installed my Rossler th400 and the tail shaft is aimed to the right. I was able to pry everything straight, it was off about an inch when I installed the BMR cross member with a poly mount. I know there is nothing wrong anywhere with the trans, I'm thinking it's the solid mounts. will it be ok or should I switch the motor mounts back to poly's? k-member is a BMR.

How hard was it to pry over?
If not too hard, I'd say your OK.
My motor has poly mounts, and my 400 was off about 1/2"
I just move mine over by hand.

Loosen the bolts on the motor mounts and see if there is some slack to play with. If not you could slot the holes slightly and get the motor to line up correctly. There are many variables when swapping all these parts around.

It wasn't too hard, I pried it and installed the mount to cross member bolt by myself.

You could do what JR said, loosen the motor mount bolts and the x member bolt.
Then see how much play you have. Then adjust accordingly.

I did loosen the bolts at the k-member, I'll loosen all of them and try again. It does look like the poly trans. mount is pulled a little to the right.

I am having this exact same issue. Come to find out the motor mounts are not symetrical. There is and up side and a down side. I'm going to try flipping them as there is no markings.

If you have to pry the trans over to get a mount on it..........something is wrong. More will likely be wrong after running it hard like that.

Yup I had an early version with no markings. The shorter distance side points downward. All good now.

This is with a bmr turbo k member.
