Default All pro intake or Mast

tempted to switch over to one of these intake next season since reading up on the hp gain over a vic jr, the question is which one any downsides to either one? also have a 6061 elbow would i still be able to utilize this? car has a 5" hood so clearance shouldnt be a issue i know i would have to trim the cowl or remove it which i was gonna do to shed some weight.

thanks

I have a Mast for mine, but haven't got to compare it to the Allpro. Is there a reason why people are saying the Mast is a better product?

not saying one is better, every engine setup is different. more of a personal pref what you going to do with the intake and porting it for the engine. The AP has the dog leg outer runners, there not there for no reason. But someone people might find one fits them better, the runner size, shape, length, taper, airspeeds

Juts throwing it out there; I gained 5Hp and ~20Tq going from a ported Vic Jr with an elbow and 105mm TB to a un-ported LSx with 102mm TB. When I put the Vic Jr intake on, the LSx intake was not available yet. Cut that notch in my cowl for nothing

Just my guess, but the elbows suck for making power. Could be that my set up was not big enough for a Vic Jr. Who knows.

The car did have better driveability with the Vic Jr tho.

It's hard to quantify without knowing your entire engine combination. Can you share all of your details.

With an LQ4 head, I think you're wasting your money on the mast intake, especially with a forced induction car. If you like the MAST offerings, you'd be much better off with some Mast heads.

How much boost. Dyno numbers, ETs?

ya stock 317's for now... was planning on building another motor soon and go with all pro heads or tfs. currently on 10lbs maxxed out 60lbs injectors will be switching them out over this winter. as far as numbers go the convertor was loose on the dyno and was hard to get a good read but was told close to 700

The Mast heads are good.

We run Trick Flow GenX Cath Port (6-bolt) heads and they are currently supporting about 1800 hp with an F1X ProCharger.
