Default Linelock wiring questions

I'm not sure if this is in the right forum or not so move it if needed.

Ok I bought a used SLP linelock from a board member a few months ago. My problem is it didn't come with any of the wiring besides the switch. The instructions on slp's website are not very descriptive when it comes to the wiring. Can anybody give me an idea of how I'm suppose to wire this thing up?

Where does each wire from the linelock go? The top one and the bottom one? Which is ground and positive? I'm really stumped on the wiring of this thing. Please help.

The short wire with the fusable link goes from the positive terminal next to the fuse panel to the linelock. The Long grey wire connects to the other terminal on the linelock. Run that wire through the firewall to the switch where ever you have it mounted in the car. The last short wire runs from the switch to a ground source.

Ok that makes sense. The only thing is the switch the guy sent me is a three prong switch. Its got a light on it. How would I go about hooking it up or should I just get a regular toggle switch? Thanks for the quick response.

I'm not really sure how you would hook up the 3 pole switch so i can't help you there. Perhaps the extra pole would be hooked to acc so the switch will illuminate when the car is on? I would head over to radio shack (God forbid if it was your only option) and pick up a standard spst switch. Make sure you get something with a similar rating to that 3 pole if that is in fact what the previous owner was using. I don't have the switch in front of me at the moment so i can't tell you what the actual rating is, but buy something beefy so you don't fry the son bitch. The line lock is hooked strait to a battery source and would probably fry a micro switch.

I think I'm just gonna put it off and get a regular switch. I think the guy before me had it set up so the light was on when the linelock was on. But I'm just not sure how to wire that up. I'll just wait and do it the simple way. Thanks for your help.
