2001 trans am

Need some opinions on a build I'm about to start. 2001 trans am with koni SA and strano springs and only other mod is TSP headers and Y. I've come to the conclusion that the fbody wasn't a good platform for autoX and roadracing so, I want to build a street strip car. Was doing some research on heads & cam but... what do you guys think about the gm LS3 crate to swap in? Just looking for some opinions so I can try and find a direction for the car.

Start with the search function on builds and see what you like. I wouldn't buy a crate LS3 when you could get a stroker Ls3, LQ or LS2 for the same price as a stock engine.
