Default Removed powersteering using stock rack:first drive...

I removed the pump and lines and drained my stock rack. left the holes in the rack wide open so air could escape when it compressed during turning. I used the BMR alternator bracket and meziere electric water pump. I only have a short belt from crank to alternator now. got the rest of the car assembled and couldn't wait to try and drive it with this new setup. so I took her for a spin around the block. As you may have read in many threads on here this is a drag setup only and is very hard to turn because this is a power rack being used without fluid or a pump. people may say you have to use your 15x3.5 skinnys up front all the time or you'd never be able to turn.

BULLSHIT!

You guys are a bunch of pussies! I have 17x9.5 ZR1 wheels in the front with 275's on them! I'm 160lb tiny guy and I Just drove the thing around for 10 mins. Yes its very stiff turning backing out of a driveway or from a stop sign. but rolling anything over 10mph you barely notice anything. I backed this bitch out of a driveway with a spool and 275s in the front in one shot. I never want to hear bitching about this again lol. the stock rack is fine if your on a budget removing power steering. with my alumastar front runners this will turn almost like stock Im sure.

I've got no dog in the fight here, but if being able to back out of the driveway in one try is the bragging point...sounds like it's a PITA to drive your car now?

Your power steering assists in low speed turning. It should be easy to turn going over 5 mph otherwise you are a *****
