Default New best tonight...

13.176 @ 106.78, but as with anything - a few new things came up. Wheel hop for one, something that needs to be addressed before I can see the full potential of my recent mods. DA was in the 1400'+ to 1100' range for all of my passes.

2.049 ... 2.144 ... 2.056 ...60'
5.683 ... 5.756 ... 5.666 ...330
8.589 ... 8.653 ... 8.551 ... 1/8
84.96 ... 85.11 ... 85.62 ... MPH
11.109 ... 11.176 ... 11.058 ... 1000
13.232 ... 13.305 ... 13.176 ... 1/4
106.58 ... 106.32 ... 106.78 ... MPH

Overall I'm happy, I feel the ET is "good" for my mods - not amazing. I've got to get that damn 60' time down though, this car is stubborn... no matter what I do - it seems to want to do the opposite of what I want it to do.

Brian,
Some good runs for this time of year and Orlando's reputation for hooking. are you still on street tires? with a sub 2.0 60 foot and good air you'll have a 12 second run come fall/winter air. Just bring it to Gainesville

Derek, might as well be street radials. I'm still running on those borrowed nitto drags, they're about done for. But, it is far better than burning my street tires off. I think I'm finally going to take you up on your offer to use those M/T Sportsman Pros when I come up to G'ville in a few weeks. I still have your cell #, & I know where you work. If I can get some 1.9's... some low 13.00's & high 12.90's are in the bag. I'm going to be borrowing some Weld XP skinnies when I come up there, and I have an ASP pulley I need to get on the car. If I don't run some high 12's like that, something is wrong.

Congrats on your runs.

Now, get those tires from Derek and run some high 12's.

Thanks everyone. I forgot to mention the other oddity... when doing my burnouts, I decided to try pulling it into 2nd to hold it in 2nd gear so I could get the tires good & hot. The RPM's instantly fell to 2K RPM and hung there until I popped the shifter into D. Is this TM at work? I only tried it once, but it left me wondering.

Thumbs up

Congrats on the new best!

Cut a mid 1.9 and you'll be where you want to be. To get enough traction with Nittos, I had to get LCA relocation brackets, stronger LCAs, SFC, and disconnect the front swaybar. You might be able to squeek into the 12s with balding Nittos. OR go with a set of stickier tires NOW and maybe you wont need the suspension stuff. Good Luck!

You must have read my mind, I just came inside from removing the front sway bar. I'm going to drive it like that a week and see if it bothers me or not. I'm also working on getting my fans on a manual switch to try and keep it cooler in the staging lanes. Most likely going to put the ASP pulley on next weekend. I did a search yesterday and read as many old threads as I could. The one I snagged off eBay is the newer SFi approved version, it doesn't look like the common 2 piece that I see pictures of. I'm damn ready for some high 12's!

Thanks, looks like I'll be shooting for 12's, & racing for bragging rights come June 5th. A good friend of mine owns a ZZ4 powered 3rd Gen car. He used to always talk smack about A4 LS1 cars until I ripped a 13.28 @ 106+ last December. We're going to settle our grudge match at OSW's Midnight Drags. I'd love to pop a 12.99 or faster while laying the smack down on him.

Brian, I just sent ya a PM, changed cell companies a little bit ago. I got a 1.97 60 foot out of mine at Moroso a month ago on the m/t sportsmans, so I'm sure you'll hook up fine! Just gimme a ring when you're ready, and I'll bring the Nova to bring youback to reality when you're high on the 12s.....
