Default Where are the 12's?

I decided to go ahead and run the car to see if it improved and it kind of did. I decided that I def. need to get my shift light in! EVERY run I hit the rev limiter in 1st and sometimes in 2cnd, b/c the factory tach is so slow. My car kept pinging in 3rd and 4th. But anyways I got a new best MPH, and almost tied best ET, I was pretty happy considering all the elements such as Limiter, Pinging, and Humidity. Here are the runs for my best ET and Best MPH of the night. This was on Street Tires and same mods (Loudmouth, Lid, and 4.10's)
Best ET Best MPH
60': 2.205 60': 2.186
1/8: 8.628 1/8: 8.652
MPH: 86.44 MPH: 86.04
1000': 11.059 1000': 11.091
1/4: 13.094 1/4: 13.124
MPH: 110.65 MPH: 111.90

My best before last night was:
60': 2.103
1/8: 8.516
MPH: 86.92
1000: 10.943
1/4: 13.016
MPH: 109.18

BTW the car is lowered...Can I replace just the back springs and get a lil better 60' time or do I need to do all 4 corners?

Difference in weather hurt you most likely.

I would get Hal shocks to help ya out of the hole(better 60 fts).

Get some stickier tires, or learn to launch better.

Remember that .1 sec off of your 60' time = .2 off of your ET (in general). Feather the throttle a little off the line and you'll have yourself a 12 sec slip. Hitting the rev limiter certainly isnt helping you either. With a 110mph trap, the problem is behind the wheel, not under the hood (no offense, just need more practice).

Find a parking lot and practice your launches.

tagging the rev limiter will hurt MPH significantly and hurt ET as well.

The other more important question is why is it pinging?? You have any mods you didn't list? You need to get some better gas or get that figured out - I've seen what detonation does to pistons - don't run it hard if it is pinging!

i think your 12s are in the 60s. if you take it easier out of the hole you might get a 2.00 and then your there.

111.9 trap...I had nittos but tore my rear end up on them so I sold them. The only reason I was hitting the rev limiter in most of the runs (4-5 out of 9 runs) is b/c the factory tach is slow after doing the 4.10's. This was the 1st time back to the track after the 4.10's (I am waiting to get my Harlan Shift Light before I run again). I don't know why it was pinging, it does it durring the day everynow and then when its hot outside but rarely at night, it did it prob. 2 runs. I am hoping it was the gas. I am slipping the clutch out and letting the car pull itself out of the hole and then flooring it and letting the 4.10s do their job in 1st. About the weather, it was a whole lot warmer (About 20 deg.) and def. more humid than last time. I am strongly considering the Hal/QA1 package.
