Wheel Size Question

Wheel Size Question I have a 2000 SS with 17 inch wheels. If I buy wheels for drag radials, which size would be best, 15 inch, 16 inch, or the stock 17 inch wheel size. I have an M6 with the stock 3:42 rear ratio.

Re: Wheel Size Question Well, if you want to save money, you should stick with the stock 17's. You should be able to hook decently with that,right now. I use to have BFGoodrich Drag radials on my 17's and I had no problems hooking, but they don't last too long. If money is not a concern to you, I recommend you go with 15's. That way you will have a lighter rim and more side wall, but you will have the grind the calipers <img src="images/icons/shocked.gif" border="0"> You can also mount some ET Streets on those 15's! <img src="images/icons/grin.gif" border="0">

Re: Wheel Size Question Pick up the rims from SLP then go E.T. STREET or DRAG.That is what I am going to next season was BFG DR this year,but since heads & cam hjave trouble hooking.E.T.s come in 16 that is what I will use.

Re: Wheel Size Question no ET Drags in 16" sizes. pick up the cheapest 15: wheel that will fit. throw some hoosier slicks on. but buy a 12-bolt and clutch first. for you right now, just put some 275/40 Nittos on.
