Default 3.73's or 4.10's

combo
heads/cam peaks @ 6300 but carries flat till 6600+
tci 3500 converter but will restall in the future for 4000+

basically with all the calculators i should be ok shifting @ 6600 without hitting 4th gear but you know how racing calcs can be so i need some advice...personally I'd rather go with the 4.10's. I run 26X9.5X16 hoosier QTP's. IM probably not gonna be able to lay down trap speeds of more than 115 for a while so whats that like 117 exit or so? Hopefully i can get some help.

Thanks
Bill

with that short tire and low first gear in a E 3.73 for sure i had 3.73 in my car when had stock rear ordered a 12 bolt mosier and had 4.10 put in it thought it would pick 60 foot up nope went from 26 x 10 to 28 x10.5 picked it up had to run a 1/4 mile so put 3.73 thought it would kill my 60 foot with tall tires wrong again . with 410 and 28s best was 1.43 with 3.73 and 28,s best is 1.41 i have raced for 18 years if somone told me that befor i would have found it to be funny but thats the way it is but my car makes a lot of torqe and has a 3000 converter. hope this helps.

Stay with the 3.73's, you can use 4.10's if you want but there will be little benefit.
