Default ET Drags. OK on street?

I just got a set of 26-10-16 ET Drags from a buddy of mine. My question is if I drive a short distance to the track with these on am I going to hurt the tires. I know they will were quicker but will the road debris cause alot of damage? I also know that it is illegal but only if I get caught.

I'd personally change them at the track. It would take nothing to get something pushed through those tires w/ the soft compound.

You can drive with them on the street but like Terry said, they will wear down quickly. Just DON'T get stuck in the rain with them!

Ditto on the other comments...

They will last no time at all doing normal driving, and they will not handle well due to the sidewall construction of a slick.

A short drive at reasonable speeds is probably OK, but I wouldn't go more than 15-20 miles. They aren't designed for it.

Same comments as above, I've driven home on slicks when I don't feel like changing them, but only a few times. Corners are fun!!

I've driven those tires on the street 3-4 miles to the track, just put 25psi and you'll be OK. It does beat up the tires a lot faster though.
