Drag springs?

Drag springs? Im currently running the stock springs that came in my 2000 SS. Ive been looking around to see if there are any drag springs, but the only springs that I run into are drop springs. I was just wondering if theres any out there? I know that there are drag springs that go with the front Hals, but what about the rears and are the Hal front springs the only springs out there for the front? Thanks.

Hals are good for the front if you need a little quicker weight transfer but they're certainly not necessary for good track times.
Keep the rear springs stock. They are pretty much perfect for drag racing, IMO. The ONLY thing I might do is remove the rear spring cushions and trim them down just little a bit (to lower the rear) if you get to the power level where you're standing the car on the bumper and smashing oil pans.....but that's on down the road a bit for you.

BTW, did you ever get Autotapped? I see you wanting to spend money in alot of different places. If you got money burning in your pocket then you should get a scanner/programmer...actually, you should have had these a long time ago, IMO.

I hope to get it Autotapped this weekend if I get my car put back together. I sold my FLP kit, bought a set of stainless steel 1 3/4 Kooks, Dr. Gas X-junciton, and 2 Dynomax bullets. Im waiting for all of it to show up to my house as I type. Once it comes in, I will install the headers, take it down to the muffler shop, and have the true duals built. I was suppose to have done this a long time ago, but the parts are taking longer than expected. A local board member on here kindly offered to help me out, thankfully! But I will let you know as well as others how it turns out. In a way, I kinda hope there is something going wrong when I get it scanned because Ive dumped a whole lot of money into this car and its not putting the numbers as I was hoping. Are the Z28 springs any different than the SS? Also, my SS didnt come with any SLP options, so if there are upgraded springs for the SS, I dont have them, theyre just the plain SS springs.

I have hal front drag springs and love them. Car is just a little bouncey, but it doesn't bother me. It really made a difference for my car. Also, have hal shocks front and back. I have been using them for about 4 years and still work OK. cheers............................................ ..
