Default Which Go Pro Camera to get

Looking at getting a go pro camera and mount.
Which one do I need. Want to mount on side of car.
Doesn't need to be top the line. Just something to video the runs.

A lot of tracks don't allow them mounted outside the car anymore. Was told they need to be metal cases and srewed to the car now.

I bought the GoPro and the LCD backpack so u can watch the videos right there, or hook up to a laptop. Think I paid $149 for mine about 3-4 years ago. Any version should be fine then get the suction cup mount for I believe another $20. Takes great videos and our local track has no problems with them so far.

I have the Hero 3 white and have used it with the suction mount at Bradenton and Showtime dragstrip numerous times. Takes excellent video and sound.

IF I was in the market for a GoPro...Hero Black would be my choice.

It seems like the audio is lousy on every GoPro vid I've seen. Sounds like the camera is inside a tin can.

I had best luck (for in car video at least) using a canon powershot mounted to the head rest.

I've got a gopro Hero 3 silver and it's awesome. Probably my favorite camera I've ever bought.

The "tin can sound" has to do with which case door you have installed as well. The "open" door makes for a much cleaner sound. Here's in car with my crappy shifting...
