Paul, that was what I was going to suggest to you the next time I saw you shoot even a new set of stock shocks might help you out . I mean shoot you have probably close to a 1000 passes and 80k on your current shock's. I replace mine every 2 years just to make sure they are on top of the game.
They have a 27x10.5x15 ET street. I know, Ive been running it for six months. Gator , I dont want to launch at 6k Cause it just destroys ****. I think my car does pretty well the way it is. BTW, I race mostly at Moroso but also at bradenton and orlando. You say moroso sucks? Based on what? Im there at least once a week and have never seen your car? Dont make assumptions based on hearsay.
first dont be a jerk. second you incorrectly used the term "hearsay." third i have had about 50 passes at moroso in the last 3 years. most of them were in a 95 LT1 and a 99 TA with a 6 speed (with 4.56 gears in my moser 12 bolt). i have about 100 passes at BMP (even back when we called it Desoto). i know both tracks. dont assume you know everyone at the track.
but if you want to be that way, then just accept pulling 1.6-1.7s with a big tire. i was just trying to help. if you dont want to launch BETTER which in my mind means more traction = more stress on the driveline, then why are you worrying about better 60' times? Hell a drag radial will get you to 1.8 all day. if you car hooked for some reason at 4000 rpms with a deadhook, you would be putting more stress on the line than 6000 rpms slightly spinning.
you wont find many people that will tell you Moroso is anywhere near as good at BMP. i have gone 1.49 at BMP on stock heads N/A at a raceweight of 3590.
Gator, back-off. Nobody likes a know it all and you come off as one. Bradenton is a great track. Moroso is a good track. I race weekly. You said, and I quote"Moroso Sucks". Your trying to help always comes off as sarcastic.Anytime you want to race for fun or $ let me know. Any track you like. Until then lets just drop it and go on. Sound good?
I don't know how wide a rim you are running in the back, but I just tried out a used set of MT 28X9X15 and they worked a lot better than the ET Streets that I had. I was able to cut a 1.64 60' at 13psi with a little bit of a bog issue that you shouldn't have considering your car is proably putting 60 more horsepower to the rear wheels than mine. The actual size of the tire is 27.3" Tall, 8.6" tread with, and 10.8" sidewall. I believe the part # is 3054. The tire size is very similar to the 27X10.5X15 ET Streets you were running, but its a softer compound. I would spin the ET Streets at 10psi. The ET Drags made a big difference.
Thats the same tire Coach recommended to me . It definately hooks better than the ET street. Cool, I appreciate your input. Im getting the Hals next week and Ill still have to run my 27x10.5x15 ET Streets for a little while till I scare up some more cash!
