Default Help Picking 1/8th mile gears

I am getting a new center section built for my 9" just for the purpose of running 1/8th mile. Car weighs around 3200 lbs with me in it, Neal Chance 5000 Stall Convertor. It has 29x10.5wx15 slicks, Th400 with Standard ratio gears. Should trap 115-120 MPH. And I shift at 7k (Solid Roller)
Any help would be greatly appericated
Thanks
Kyle

Default

If you shift at 7k RPM, I would run 4.56 for both 1/4m & 1/8m racing. If you only run the 1/8 I would run 5.12 gears. The 4.56 will have you trapping at 7000rpm with a 29" tire in the 1/4 and the 5.12s will give you a little more 3rd gear before the traps.

Good luck,
Lee
