binding issue with manual steering rack

binding issue with manual steering rack I have a flaming river manual steering rack in my car. Also have a bmr k member. The steering binds up terribly because of the angle if the linkage. I can't move the linkage up any further on the steering column to lessen the angle on the joints with out it hitting the motor mount pedestal. The car is. Like a 50/50 street strip car and it can barely turn evenwith the skinnies on. Any one have this issue how did you solve it?
What steering shaft are you running? The shaft we provide with our kits use 2 universal jints and 3/4" d shaft to provide clearance and prevent binding. How is yours routed?
