Is it possible to run a throttle stop on an 01 LS1 for bracket racing? I just wanted to know if anyone is doing it or if it is possible.I thought there might be some issues with the open loop/closed loop controls. The reason I question it is last year my throttle cable slipped causing the throttle arm to to fall about 3/4 inch short of the bump stop and caused me to lose 3/10ths consistantly before I figured it out. Any thoughts on this? <img src="images/icons/confused.gif" border="0">

Re: Is it possible to run a throttle stop on an 01 LS1 for bracket racing? I brakcet raced for points last year in a class that could dial in no quicker than 12.00. I drilled a hole in the throttle body and threaded a bolt in to it to prevent the throttle from opening up all the way. It worked for me, but was pretty tricky to get just right. I had it figured out so that the car ran in the 12.15 range most of the time. This would be more of what I would call a "throttle limiter" than a throttle stop, as it stays in place for the duration of the entire pass...
