Default Spinning to a new best!

Went to Hallsville today hopeing the track would hook for me and drop some big time ET but the track SUCKED! I only got one good launch all day and it was nothing to brag about since the track was green from setting up all winter. Here is what i ran today.

1st pass 1.66 60ft.
7.53 1/8th.
11.80@114.75

2nd pass 1.69 60ft.
7.55 1/8th.
11.81@114.98

3rd pass 1.68 60ft.
7.52 1/8th.
11.78@115.32

4th pass 1.69 60ft.
7.51 1/8th.
11.75@115.86

5th pass 1.66 60ft.
7.52 1/8th.
11.78@114.97

6th pass 1.77 60ft.
7.60 1/8th.
11.84@115.84

My last pass was the best one but when i launched the tires hook then spun for a foot or so then hooked again and felt better than any of the other sorry 60fts. i ran today but after waiting in line with the car running the tranny got hot and draged going into 3rd and cost me some ET along with MPH but here is the best pass of the day.

1.64 60ft.
7.46 1/8th.
11.72@115.52

I think with some high 1.5 60fts. at a prep'd track and the tranny shifting right going into 3rd gear im thinking solid 11.50s@116. Weather was ok with temps in the upper 50s but Baro. was falling and humidity was up some with the rain hangin around. Looking for 11.50s next week at RRR with some good 60fts.

Yeah, I know what you mean about a green track. Lot's of old dried up rubber. Not good!

Regardless, good runs considering. Hope that tranny's not going south on you. You might consider installing a tranny temp gauge.

alright Scott! I'd consider the runs pretty awesome considering how much your 60' is off. I'm glad that I didn't make the trek to Hallsville. RRR should be fun.
Congrats on the new best!

Thanks guys I think the car is finally coming together like i wanted it to,just need it to 60ft.

Mike,i did not run the airbag after the first pass to see how the 60fts. would react since the track was not hooking and i found that halfway through the day the airbag helped me on my first pass but i could not find anyone to loan me a air pump to inflate the bag again I also was running more weight with a half tank of gas along with some other little things that i normaly take out of the car. I'm hopeing to run some 11.50s this saturday and post a even better new best
