Default 16" Weld Pro-Star rears

Question. Just purchased a set of 26x11.5x16 ET streets for my '02 A4 SS. Is Weld's 16x9, or 10 the correct wheel w/correct backspacing for my car? Do I need a 7" backspace wheel? I have a set of 16" SLP Pontiac take-offs, but would rather run something better looking & lighter, if possible. I already have Weld Pro-Star 15x31/2 fronts & 5/16th's spacers. I don't want the rears sticking out, if you know what I mean. Any help appreciated. Thanks. WJ.

In this pic, taken two years ago, I had 16x9 Draglite XPs. They were 6.5 backspace. I had 11.5x26x16 ET Streets on there and I cut a 1.57 and could have done even better with them.

You planning to get regular Pro Stars or XP's?

Hi John. I already have the tires, (rears) I already have the Pro-Star fronts. Are the Drag-lites better, lighter? What is the correct Draglite (rear)? What is the correct 16" Pro-Star rear? Appreciate your help. WJ.

Weld makes Pro Stars and Draglites in the XP series.

XPs:
-no grinding of calipers
-but weigh as much as stock, 22-23 lbs
-slightly different face
-use different lugs than regular ones.

Regulars:
-I think you need grinding even with spacers for 16s.
-Weigh 12-13 lbs.

Thanks John. Too bad Weld really doesn't make correct backspacing whls for the 4th's. Think I'm going to start over & go with 15" Centerline Convo-Pros. Thought women were the ones who always keep changing their minds....Again, Thanks. WJ.
